Young children need all the nutrition they can get for their better growth. Since children are very picky with what they eat they often lack all the nutrition needed. To get children to eat nutritious foods, parents to should find different ways to give healthy food to their children. Parents should keep in mind what attracts their children and try to incorporate healthy food in something they like.

Hack 1:

An amazing trick that works in feeding children healthy food is to make their food colorful. Try mixing green vegetables, all colorful peppers and other colored vegetables into foods like pasta, pizza and other foods children like.

Hack 2:

You can also make a deal with your children regarding eating nutritious food. Tell them that if they finish their vegetables they can have a treat. The treat can be chocolates or anything else they love.

Hack 3:

Children also crib a lot when it comes to drinking milk. Milk and other dairy products are also hard to feed children. To make it interesting for them you could add gems, chocolate syrup etc to it.

One more way to bring excitation towards eating healthy food for children is to make the dish look attractive. It can be veggies shaped in the form of their favorite animal or bird.

Parents should also try and build stories around food items. This can benefit in two ways. The child will be too focused on the food item rather than what is being fed. Also it will make them perceive that the food they are eating is fun as it involves something they like.

Parents should tell their children to make their own food with the given ingredients. They should observe what their kids approach is. This they can later use to their benefit to create dishes they know their kids will like.

The Long Term Solution:

For older kids they can tell them the health and overall benefit of the food which they are eating. Give them examples that inspire them. Parents should also be careful while grocery shopping. They should careful balance the junk food and healthy food. They should keep in mind all the various nutrients and vitamins their child needs and shop accordingly.

 

Hence I would like to mention in the end that food is something that should be enjoyed and children should not feel that it’s a punishment. They should not not be told to eat nutritious food, but be drawn to it by the fun experience that comes along with it.
