A very important aspect of overall development of a child’s mind and body is the amount of nutrition that their body gets in a day. A child’s metabolism is much faster compared to that of an adult and hence they need proper diet containing all the essential nutrients, carbohydrates, proteins etc. It has been a difficult task for parents all around the globe to prepare healthy and flavorsome Lunch Box. It is imperative that children take healthy lunches and snacks to their schools as it would help them to concentrate and learn better. To match the active environment in school it is necessary that a child’s diet should include fresh fruit, green leafy vegetables, and a combination of protein, dairy and carbohydrate foods.

With many kids having an aversion to healthy food options such as green vegetables and fruits it is necessary to encourage children to make healthy choices and make their lunches creative. Some suggestions for lunch boxes are:

Drinks such as water and milk should also be included in the daily lunch box rather than fruit juices, soft drinks, flavored mineral water which are unnecessarily high in sugar content.

One aspect which is easily neglected by parents is the quality of the lunch boxes. Undoubtedly, food is stored in containers for long hours and if their quality is not up to the mark it can negate the effect of nutritious foods that you put all your hard work to prepare.

Children eat what is familiar to them and develop their eating habits early in age, so invest your time in preparing a wholesome lunch for your kid, well, the one that keeps both you and your kid happy.
