TEACHERS AND THEIR INFLUENCE
Teachers are often called second mothers of children. There is a deep and true meaning behind this. When both parents go to work teachers are the ones who spend the maximum time with children. They play a very important role in building character and also opinions.
Right from an early age it is seen that children tend to pay more attention to teachers than parents. Sakshi, a mother of two, said that her younger son denied listening to her because it was something different from what his teacher had told him.
A good teacher sees all her students and individuals. She sees all of them having dreams and aspiration and as a part of her job she encourages them. Parents often fail to do so because they do not pay such a close attention and have so many other things on their mind. When teaches encourage children, children in return feel wanted and appreciated and her are drawn closer to their teacher.
When children are drawn closer to their teacher they start to listen to them more and trust them more. They also know that her students are someone’s precious kids and parents have high expectations from them. They release that they have the responsibility of raising her students up to the expectations of the parents. Hence they put effort into children. In return children are influenced by what the they say greatly.
For teenagers teachers play a very crucial part. They are not as strict as parents and not as carefree as friends. They usually are looking for elders who will understand them and some teachers are often the answer for them. Teachers are aware of the students’ situation as they have seen so many cases. Parents are oblivious of these things because they interact with only their children. Hence they give an overall perspective which is more appreciated by students. Hence teachers influence the minds of teenagers in a drastic way.
For older children teachers are very influential in making a career. They often seek their guidance because they feel that they have more experience and have seen many students graduate and become successful.
Hence teachers are extremely influential in the lives of children and parents should be careful to what school they send their children because the teachers are based on the school. Parents should also make sure they interact with the them frequently so that they can keep track of their children.
